Elizabeth’s New Life Center is so excited to highlight one of our major programs, Marriage Works! Ohio. This is a collaborative effort of diverse organizations united to build healthy families and communities through the Miami Valley of Ohio. Through Marriage Works!, we provide marriage and relationship education for couples and youth.
Our vision at Marriage Works! Ohio is To live in a society where all individuals have the skills to build and maintain healthy relationships that produce stronger marriages and families. By empowering couples to have healthier relationships, we are helping to provide an environment in which they and their families can thrive. Not only does this education improve the quality of life for the couple, it also fosters better circumstances for children to be raised in. That’s how Marriage Works fits into Elizabeth’s New Life Center’s mission of empowering individuals and families to make Godly life choices.
Marriage Works! Ohio offers marriage and relationship classes such as Growing Together, Discovering Our Deepest Desire, and Rekindling the Heart. These classes help couples improve communication, manage and resolve problems, and provide tools for couples to build concrete relationships. With funding from the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services, Marriage Works! Ohio also offers state-funded classes such as PICK A Partner, Lasting Intimacy, and Mentorship.
Couples can benefit from supportive counseling with Marriage Works! Ohio’s licensed therapist, who was just rated as one of the top three therapists for Dayton, Ohio!
High school students can also learn about dating, intimacy and sexual integrity through Marriage Works! Ohio’s in-class relationship building program called Go for the Gold which is available through schools and youth groups. You can learn more about our Youth Services program here.
