Because reaching women where they are is so critical to the work we do at Elizabeth’s New Life Center, we occasionally utilize advertising to get the word out about our life-saving services.
This month, in collaboration with Cox Media Group, we’re rolling out a digital and broadcast media campaign, which includes digital ads, targeting at-risk, abortion-vulnerable women. A complimentary broadcast spot was included in our package; it will air on WHIO-TV (e.g. Channel 7) at various times during the campaign’s run. Click the the player below to view it.
How Does the Digital Outreach Work?
The online digital ads, like the one you see here, will pop up automatically in the user’s browser whenever specific, key words are entered.
For example, if a woman enters an abortion-specific phrase, such as “Dayton abortion clinic.” Instead of just seeing results relating to that specific search, our ad, offering free pregnancy tests and ultrasounds, will display in a prominent location on the user’s browser, hopefully catching the woman’s attention and resulting in a call and subsequent visit to one of our centers.
Why Do We Utilize Advertising?
The simple answer is because advertising works. Our front line staff at our Women’s Centers repeatedly tell us that their clients found out about them through a radio spot or digital ad on their phone or laptop. In today’s culture, the vast majority of young adults are tech-savvy, utilizing any number of devices and apps to communicate with one another. In an effort to remain relevant, we too are adapting our outreach to ensure we’re effective in reaching those who need our help; at the same, we remain committed to being responsible stewards of the monies our supporters trust us with managing.
